Some Fun Weekend Reading

If you're sick and tired of reading about blogs, bloggers, and blogging, then just skip this post.

But if you enjoy or take interest in such meta-coverage, then this article, by Nathan Carlile of the Legal Times, should be right up your alley. It's exhaustively reported, colorfully written, and a genuine pleasure to read. Our favorite part: the subheadings, which are simply brilliant.

(We have a few little quibbles, but we won't burden you with them here.)

Happy Reading!

Props to you for "legitimizing" legal blogging! I liked the article--in part because it gave the reader a good sense of who you are. And, it's great to see a talented lawyer following a non-traditional track.

Thus far, I've really enjoyed your blog. Keep up the good work.

Oh do share the quibbles.... the hideous allusion to Fonzie surely must be one of them.

"A Supreme Court clerkship is the ultimate credential within the legal profession, and when I didn’t get one, I think, subconsciously, my interest in doing something other than practicing law increased.”

If xoxo was around when Lat was in law school/clerking:

David Lat: I just got dinged for an SC clerkship by Nino. killself? or go work for Wachtell? :(

Commentator1: what appellate judge

David Lat: O’Scannlain.

Commentator1: O’Scannlain is a festering TTT; Keker doesn't even interview his clerks. I'm surprised you even got an interview. HTFH.

Commentator2: you can work for wachtell if you want, but within 5 years you'll be sitting in front of your computer all day, every day in your underwear. you'll usually be crying.

Commentator3: TITCR

Commentator4: White girls and asian guys at the 9th circuit.
