Say Hello to 'MC Rove'

At this morning's Senate Judiciary Committee hearings, one of the Democratic senators invoked the bugaboo of Karl Rove. In arguing that the U.S. Attorney firings HAD to be politically motivated, the senator cited the involvement of Rove, whom he referred to darkly as "the ultimate political insider."

Demonizing Karl Rove is a favorite political pastime of the left. But is the man really that scary? Check out his performance at last night's Radio and TV Correspondents' dinner:

If he wanted to make a fool of himself, at least do something funnier. That is pretty lame.

I can't understand how those who operate at the very highest levels of our elected government could have so litttle dignity. It's one thing to have a sense of humor, but this is just stupid.

The Left is scared of Rove in the same way that a child is scared of the bogeyman underneath their bed. It's just that the Left has never grown up.

What's the Left's favorite slogan again? Oh yeah, "Everything I ever really needed to know I learned in kindergarten."

Meanwhile... I can't possibly be the only one to pick up the fact that this twerp is a Rove mini-me. Take a look at the eerily striking similarity:

I'm concerned that this blog is losing its focus.

I understand that the strict coverage of Article III celebrities could not "pay the bills," and I was fine that coverage was broadened to remark on those entities, known as clerks and lawyers, working with the Article III celebrities. I was even fine with the scope being further expanded to cover law schools, law firms, and all things related therein.

But I take some pause at this latest broadening into politics and non-lawyers (Rove). I want juicy gossip on lawyers and judges from this site. If I wanted posts whose sole contribution is commentary on the antics of non-judicial, political hacks, I'd read Huffington or Drudge.

Wherein I extol the...:

The current political climate has forced Lat's Federalist Society overlords to activate their remote control and ensure that all drones propogate some official meme, e.g., "Demonizing Karl Rove is a favorite political pastime of the left."

Once the current scandal has run its course, Lat will be permitted to resume the regularly scheduled programming we all prefer.

Lat, why are you such a tool? It's pretty obvious Rove has been trying to utilize the entire machinery of the Federal government to create permanent one party rule, ala Texas. See, e.g., the GSA meetings (presumably targeting those districts to allocate $ to them), the K Street Project (to lock down all big campaign cash), the secret memos to FoxNews dictating what to cover, ousting US attorneys, etc. etc. etc. ad nauseum.

and you're citing a not-funny "rap"? you republican tool.

3:31: This is very relevant to Attorneygate. Rove may not be a lawyer, but he's the driving force behind this whole affair:
