The AEF Annual Benefit Dinner (Part 2)
Here are the rest of our photos from the delightful AEF annual dinner. We posted the first batch of pictures, along with a brief write-up, over here.
The balance of the pics, plus a few stray comments, appear after the jump.
The evening's warm and funny keynote speaker, Congresswoman Mazie K. Hirono.
Law students, we urge you to apply yourselves diligently to your studies. But FYI, Congresswoman Hirono admitted in her speech that she didn't do all the reading for her classes when she was at Georgetown Law. And she turned out just great!
DC bar president James J. Sandman (at right), with Jessie Liu and Professor Michael Abramowicz.
Mr. Sandman has used those Arnold & Porter partner profits to buy a snazzy suit. But we'd suggest that he undo at least one of the buttons.
"OH. MY. GOD. You're, like, in CONGRESS. Can you autograph my copy of Congressional Quarterly?"
Congresswoman Hirono and AEF president Peter Ohr.
"This is way easier than schlepping all the way to Thailand..."

These pictures are unintersting. I don't really care about this event, Lat. Does anyone? I mean, was anyone famous there? Did anything funny happen? I don't get it.
Don't be coy--we want pictures of you!
Why does everyone expect to like every post? ATL has a diverse readership. Different strokes for different folks.
Personally I like the judge-clerk stuff more than the law firm stuff (I'm a former UTR reader). But I don't bitch about the firm coverage, since I guess other people like it.
I heard a rumor that dinner with you fetched a whopping $1500 during the auction, David. Is that true?
Lat,
The caption to that last pic is priceless.
seriously 4:00.. the world doesn't revolve around you.
that last pic and caption is TOO funny. i'm still laughing so hard an hour after first seeing it.
more pics of cute hotties please!
4:00: I'm with 5:12. You didn't read the caption for the last photo...

the guy with that red tie is, like, superhot. he's tall, too.
I was hoping for more hotties, frankly.
