the plaintiff was tasered, yes. he was also tasered when taking a baby out of the hospital and threatening a hostage-type situation.

I don't think that the taser is appropriate in many cases, but it is more effective than guns, in that it doesn't (usually) kill but can still incapacitate the subject.

it's also interesting how the mother whines that the baby "isn't the same" but there's no medical evidence cited to support the existence of any injury.
