Programming Note: If We Can Make It There...
We'll make it anywhere. We're about to leave Washington for New York, New York, where we'll be spending the rest of this week.
We have multiple reasons to be up in New York. We'll be giving a talk at Columbia Law School, attending the CLS Moot Court finals and Law Revue, and covering a major hearing in Charney v. Sullivan & Cromwell.
So we're going to be offline for a little while. If anyone resigns or raises associate salaries to $175K while we're gone, please let us know in the comments to this post. Thanks.

Please also let me know if there is a firm paying more than $15/hour for a copy/file clerk.

McGuireWoods finally matched the 145 starting pay scale in Chicago and L.A. this morning (though they said that associates would be receiving confirmation of their particular salaries via personal e-mails by next Monday, as MW continues to insist that it does not have a "lockstep" pay scale in place). Can't speak for other offices nor do I imagine many people care by this point.

4:13, is the raise only in Chicago and L.A. or are those the only offices for which you have this information?
Posted by: Anonymous | April 10, 2007 04:24 PM
if you work at MW, you have all of the information ...
Tysons, LA, DC, Richmond, Chicago, Charlotte, Atlanta are at 145, NY at 160, Pittsburgh and Baltimore at 135.
MW is not lockstep, so everyone will be some increase off of those salaries ...

Lat, note that it's only 5 stops on the B train from Morningside off-Heights to the rarified districtsof Bronx Supreme, where you can get the lowdown on the status of that juicy GT sexual harassment case.

What?? No Don Imus post??? Finally, an Imus-free zone. What's the big deal and why doesn't everyone just SHUT UP about it already!

See you at Beige tonight, David?

It's pretty damn funny that the Greenberg Traurig harrassment case was filed in Bronx Supreme. The Bronx venire is a little, um, different from that which one would find in Manhattan...
