Who Says White Men Can't Rap?

If Karl Rove's rap performance has caused you to harbor grave doubts about the ability of white guys to rap, this video -- a "Beastie Boys" parody, produced for the 2006 Virginia Law Libel Show -- may restore your faith:

The inside jokes will be lost on non-UVA types. But the dancing and rapping are impressive, especially coming from law students, and the production values are solid. Nice use of freeze frames.

(Our favorite joke: the "Isis" reference.)

No Law School Show in history was as good as the 2006 UVA Libel Show....trust me.

Also check out the UVA Libel Show Bar-Bri parody, which is one of the funniest videos of all time...

Wow. Will law students ever realize that these types of videos are funny only to their classmates, and even then only to those classmates for whom law school defines their existence?

As a UVA alum, I'm saddened at how far the Libel Show has fallen. White people rapping (badly)? I got secondary embarrassment from watching this.

Um this video was part of a show that is shown to law students and professors -- it was never intended to be on the internet -- of course it's not funny if you didn't go to UVA the entire point of the libel show is to mock UVA!

These boys are cute - especially the one in blue! (But he is probably the worst rapper.)

The rapping is kind of corny but the effort is appreciated. That said, the entrance is pretty cool and was pretty innovative.

P.S. the girls in the video are not only good dancers but are all really hot.
