Wal-mart should be more concerned about PPP than what a lowly junior associate makes. It would also be fair to criticize escalating rates being above COLA, but I think this just gives Ammo to partners to restrict future raises.

Maybe Walmart figured out that for 99% of its legal work it does not need an overpaid associate or partner from BigLaw.
Somewhere in India or China there is a lawfirm submitted a proposal to do document and contract reviews for .35 an hour.
