**** And AG Mukasey vows to crack down on corruption in wake of PR governor accusations ****
That's great! I sure know of a few corrupt folks in the government. I'm sure Mukasey will get right on it. Surely he won't tolerate the blatant disregard for the rule of law shown by several administration officials who ignored Congressional subpoenas & refused even to show up & assert executive privilege. Likewise, surely he'll take some action regarding our government's admitted practice of waterboarding individuals, a practice long & universally recognized as torture, as indeed the US recognized when it prosecuted several Japanese soldiers for waterboarding US troops during WWII. Further, I am sure Mukasey will investigate how the Administration came to routinely violate FISA by ordering telecom companies to engage in warrantless surveillance of American citizens.
Oh, wait. Mukasey means he will continue cracking down on *Dem* politicians. Silly me.
Oh, and Lat -- I'm still comin' for yo' lunch money. Watch yo' back, foo'

10:07 - I get it. You would just rather let the terrorists win than hunt and kill them by all means necessary. You criticize them, but I celebrate all the things you listed. Torture? Good, I didn't do anything wrong so I have nothing to worry about. FISA? Why are you so afraid? Again, if you didn't do anything wrong then you have nothing to worry about. Maybe if you read the bible and knew a little about retribution you would understand that we are engulfed in a global war against evildoers who hate us for our way of life. That's why we had to go to Iraq. If not, Saddam and his allies in Al Qaeda would have had weapons of mass destruction that they would have loved to use on us. You are an idiot if you think any of this isn't true.

I can't decide if 10:07 is meant to be briliantly ironic satire or just a mindless screed.
Posted by: Anonymous | March 28, 2008 10:39 AM
10:35, your troll-fu is excellent, but you still need to be a little more subtle. Keep up the good work.

Why is the Defense Department giving munitions contracts to 22-year old arms dealers with MySpace pages?
Posted by: a noni mouse | March 28, 2008 11:19 AM
Hey 10:39 -- how is it a mindless screed to express outrage that our government has brazenly & openly admitted to engaging in conduct that, when performed by Japanese soliders, we prosecuted as war crimes?
Likewise, how is it possibly acceptable to utterly ignore a Congressional subpoena? I understand the Bushies have a ridiculously broad view of executive privilege/desire to conceal their criminal, justice-obstructing actions regarding the firings of selected US Attorneys, but *certainly* you show up to the hearing to assert the privilege.
Also, 10:35 -- I have to believe you are a parody. "Saddam and his allies in Al Qaeda"...if you are so dumb as to believe Saddam had ANY connection to al Qaeda, you ought to consider entering the Special Olympics. If you can run sorta fast, you might be in line for a gold medal or two.
Oh, and Lat -- it's lunch time! Hand over your bag of Fritos, foo'! Dominic B. the bully is HUNGRY.

Do you think it's funny to make fun of the Special Olympics? The Special Olympics aren't some kind of joke. It took Johnny Knoxville almost a week to train properly.

When you said 'ancient arms' my first thought was gladii currusque?
Apparently, we have different definitions of "ancient"
