That picture does not do her justice. In real life she is actually pretty hot.

Not much of a conspiracy theorist, but . . .

This is the funniest crime in the history of crime. I can just see him getting excited about the POSSIBILITY of it even working, money signs flashing in his eyes . . . Genius.

A quote from her evaluation: "She is very effective in meet and confer sessions, where her pleasant disposition disarms her opponent and masks her ultimately zealous advocacy."

And some wonder why lawyers have such a bad reputation? Apparently even being a nice person is only a mask worn to obtain an advantage. What a sad reflection in more ways than one.

And, may I add, she is actually quite stunning! Good luck, Oh!

Wow. Judging from that transcript above, Springer comes across as humble and sensitive. Looks like one hell of a speech.

Posted by Kind of A Big Deal in "Now Is the Summer of Their Discontent: Bad Times for Summer Associates?" Wednesday, July 9, 2008 3:41 PM

So let me get this straight: Summers are concerned that 1) they have to pay for lunch on their own dime and eat it at their desk; 2) are fearful of getting fired due to insufficient work; and 3) have not been given ridiculous, over-the-top loot?

In other words, they are living the life of an associate. Boohoo.

1-year clerkship with a federal circuit judge;
10 years of groveling at a prestigious law firm;
15 years of kissing the ass of every political hack you meet . . .

Telling the world to kiss your Article III ass: Priceless.

It happens exactly this way: the fear, the anxiety, the suspicion . . . Having lived it, I empathize with the author. While I enjoyed the story, it was certainly florid. Best of luck to all.

Great job today, Elie. I have not been a fan of your prose in general, but top-notch job following this.
