I wear mine layered over tights or with boots. I'm 5'4" and a size 4. I love them.
Guest 4:47 is correct - the finger nail trick works. Most dressing rooms do NOT have one way mirrors (they make everyone look the wrong color), but the mirrors on the floor in most department stores (especially mirrors on posts/columns in the middle of the floor) ARE two way with security cameras behind them.
Invest in classics, fast fashion for trends.
I'm also going with Saleisha - she's been getting so much praise for going from commerical to editorial lately. So much GROWTH, y'all! Plus it's been a few seasons since ANTM had an African -American winner...
Club Monaco has one in stock right now too - black with white trim, plus a chest-crest. (hee.) $250, I think. Hm.
I would use the dryer if I had one available, but it would be $1.50 (highway robbery!) to "toss it in the dryer." So, I steam. At work (I work retail) I hate the smell of the steamer, but at home I love it. I think its because the tank at work is huge and gets musty easier, whereas the tank on my home steamer is small and the water is always fresh.
I do not own an iron.
I, too, had a great 5-pocket (jean style) pair from the Gap that I loved. They were soft, not shiny, not squeaky and comfortable as heck. I am sad I no longer have them, but I would totally wear them again. My question: what shoes to wear with them?
I grew to love J Crew in college and STARTED doing yoga in my J Crew lounge pieces. I won't pay full price for it, but I'll totally wear it. Besides, have you all read how well LuluLemon is doing right now? Bully for J Crew, trying to get a small piece of that action.
As for the luggage, isn't it all carry-on size?

Hmmm, I like the Topshop version better. All those pleats and the blouson hem on the Marc top just scream "poufy" to me, and that butter/ivory color makes me look jaundiced.
I'll wear a knockoff if I love the design, not because it's a knockoff of a "designer" piece. That is to say, if I LOVE the look of a dress, a jacket, a print, whathaveyou, I'm going to try to find it and wear it. Since I can't afford designer right now, I would buy what I could afford (F21, H&M, etc).
However, I have little patience for people who buy knockoffs BECAUSE they are knockoffs, who want to mislead and/or claim its designer. That's just lame in my book. Labelistas. I also have no patience for people who simply must fall in line with whatever the IT item is today - a bag, a shoe, a dress - regardless of whether it's flattering or attractive, designer or knockoff. That's just money poorly spent, regardless.
It's a little "tough" for me, but J Crew (of all places) has a cute knit pant with an exposed zipper in the back that I think is pretty sassy.

Owning Uggs? Really? I could understand running around in them as if they were FASHIONABLE being the deal breaker, but they're actually nice for around the house and walking the dog around the block.
I think guys in thongs is a dealbreaker for me.
