How To Market Your Law Firm On Facebook Without Losing Time And Money Or Getting Screwed By A Marketing Company

Is this the best Facebook marketing guide out there? And it’s free?

Lawyer marketing: two words that immediately trigger my gag reflex and give me flashbacks of SEO company after SEO company lined up outside of my office, promising the world and not failing to underwhelm.

That’s why I couldn’t roll my eyes hard enough when I was asked to review the new Facebook marketing guide for lawyers by Esteemed Lawyers of America.

My knee-jerk reaction was, “Great, another ‘too cool for school’ attorney organization. Why am I reviewing this again?”

But in the interest of journalistic integrity, and the fact that the boss-man told me this was my assignment, I dug in and started reviewing the course.

The title of this Facebook marketing course is “How to Market Your Law Firm on Facebook Without Losing Time and Money or Getting Screwed By a Marketing Company.” A mouthful for sure, but the appeal of not getting screwed by another marketing company is intriguing.

You can’t download the course, or even watch it on YouTube. Instead, they mail it to you on a USB drive, which is definitely different — and hey, free USB drive, amiright? The entire course is free (but you have to pay shipping and handling). They also have a guarantee that if you think the course sucks, they say they will give your money back and you get to keep the USB drive, so that’s cool — no risk, and at the very least, I guess you can delete the course and get a USB drive for free.

What’s In The Guide?

The guide is a step-by-step video course that shows law firms exactly how to set up effective Facebook marketing campaigns that drive qualified clients straight into your practice.

Esteemed Lawyers of America claims this to be the best guide on Facebook marketing available for lawyers, and I have to say, I agree.

Guides like this seem to always provide surface-level information but leave out the oh-so-critical part that shows you how to actually get clients. This guide is much different.

The guide starts with a PowerPoint presentation that introduces the each strategy, then switches to a screencast for the remainder of the course, which is helpful because you can follow along click for click, if desired.

Two crucial elements are covered in this course: the strategy used, as well as how to actually use the Facebook advertising platform, which is a challenge on its own.

Several different campaign types are demonstrated, including traffic campaigns, lead campaigns, and conversion campaigns. In addition to showing how to do each campaign type, this guide shows when each different campaign type is appropriate.

They also dive into the more technical parts of Facebook advertising, like how to use the Facebook pixel and optimize ads using create custom conversions. I found the walkthroughs make these processes far less intimidating than they sound.

Perhaps my favorite part of the entire course is the self-liquidating offer strategy. Using this strategy, you can actually run unlimited ads that pay for themselves — it’s pretty exciting.

Final Thoughts — To Buy or Not To Buy?

Although I was extremely skeptical going in, after watching all of the videos, I can safely say this is by far best guide to marketing a law firm on Facebook that I’ve seen, and it’s absolutely worth the cost of shipping it to you.  Most of the lawyer marketing guides I’ve seen are superficial and don’t really give a deep dive — this is the opposite.

I should have titled this section “To Get for Free or To Not To Get for Free,” because you just pay shipping and handling, which makes this a no-brainer. Even better, you can get your money back if you don’t like it, so I don’t really see why anyone wouldn’t at least try it out.

I plan to test many of the methods shown in this course, and maybe I’ll provide an update to this review with my results.
